Modding and game development is a difficult thing. I do appreciate anybody who tries to make one, but it is disappointing to be met with constant big, ambitious projects being pushed back for years or discontinued, like Beyond Skyrim, Skywind, Luthraathan and countless others. They usually come out through heavy-release delays or are just cut-back. I’ll get into the characters and voice acting later.īig mods for Skyrim are rare. Everything is fully voice acted in English from the get go, which is nice. You do not need to worry about that with Enderal. I really want to give Nehrim another go, even though it is German voice only, with English subtitles. They have been responsible for making other total conversions such as Nehrim for Oblivion, and the lesser known Arktwend for Morrowind. SureAI has been making this mod for a long time, ever since Skyrim released back in November 2011. This is a huge improvement on the old launcher and Steam makes it nice and easy to play. All you need to own is a copy of the original Skyrim. Even better, you can download and play it right off Steam for free, without the need for its own launcher or anything silly like that. I did finish everything during the 2016 run of the original game.Įnderal, the total conversion mod of Skyrim, is better than ever, and there’s no time like the present to return to such a gem. I missed out on at least a dozen quests including the latter half of one of the Golden Sickle questline, but it was a finished experience for me. I will say that my play-through of Forgotten Stories was not complete. As soon as I booted up the revamped Steam version of Enderal, and saw the opening, I realized I was back home. I don't know if the mod is available on the Nexus, though.57 hours later, I saw the credits once again. You can use the build-in function of the Enderal Launcher to install mods from the steam workshop. I usually don't recommend the usage of mods but the creator is one of our Discord moderators and I've checked the latest version and it should work flawlessly no matter of the upcoming fixes and changes. When starting a new game it drops the player in front of the temple and opens the race menu: This mod for Enderal is called "Skip Intro" and basically does exactly the same accept it doesn't have the potential to create bugs. So someone could accidentally get screwed over when using your saves which don't have certain fixes applied to them. Of course we try to fix everything for every save but some stuff is simply impossible due to engine limitations. It is entirely possible that the saves may cause problems in the future as as new patches are applied to the game as stated by sureai_till - Best advice I can provide is backup your saves before trying this as a precaution.Īs cool as the idea might is (and as much time you've probably invested into this), I wouldn't recommend posting them because the game still gets updates and not all fixes work retroactive for "old" saves (old saves meaning saves created on an older patch then the current one). Read the complete read me text file before use.įeel free to try them but at your own risk: Saves sitting through the introduction again if you have already seen it enough times that it is no longer interesting to sit through again - like the cart ride at the start of skyrim. The quick saves are for the steam standalone game but may work with the skyrim total conversion mod - not tested however - and the only other mod installed for some of the saves is the English "enable wait, no heal mod". I finally got around to making quick start saves for all the races - The save starts on on the beach after the boat scene where you choose your race, appearance & name with minimal further input from me - but I was wondering where I should leave the file for others to use.
